MESA International

MESA is the first choice for industry professionals seeking innovative thinking and leadership to drive operations excellence. Our Member-driven working groups, industry events and educational forums:

  • Enable members to connect, contribute, cultivate understanding, and exchange strategies to facilitate operations excellence
  • Result in white papers, podcasts, guidebooks, research studies, webcasts and other resources that accelerate learning and knowledge transfer
  • Provide best practices guidance to drive greater operations performance and profitability

In the nineties, MESA defined the world wide known 11 functions of MES. In 2003, MESA extended the MESA-11 into the collaborative MES model. From 2007, MESA is focusing on Strategic Initiatives and at the end of last year the first 5 guidebooks on these MSI's were published (read more ...). MESA also promotes the spread and use of standards like ANSI/ISA-95.

Regularly, MESA publishes new white papers. Examples of recent ones are SOA in Manufacturing and Related Manufacturing Integration Standards. The titles of all white papers and short descriptions of their contents can be downloaded here. MESA's Technical Committee is preparing the publication of more of these very valuable white papers. If you are a premium MESA member, you can download them at the "Reference Centre" of the MESA website.

Logica at the 2009 European Plant-to-Enterprise Conference

As premier sponsor, Logica was actively involved at the successful Plant-to-Enterprise Conference of MESA International in Utrecht (Read more ...). Jan Snoeij, Principal Consultant and chair of MESA EMEA, opened the conference with his presentation on "Survive-to-Thrive".

At the conference, prominent manufacturers and industry experts shared their experience with their strategic initiatives, application of standards and practical cases in various sessions. These provided an excellent networking platform to exchange visions, trends and experience across the industries.

The attendees confirmed: "Especially now, many manufacturers and producers are looking for best practices and tools to help them to be ready for the recovery of the economy, whenever that may come. The conference was a good place to learn from your peers!"
